These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Lagos Market, operated by NextGen Limited. They apply to all buyers, sellers, and visitors of the platform.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, listing an item, or making a purchase on Lagos Market, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Who can use Lagos Market
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to buy or sell on Lagos Market. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide (including your name, phone number, and location) is accurate.
3. Listings
Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including item condition, price, and photos. Listings must comply with Nigerian law — counterfeit goods, stolen items, weapons, and other prohibited items may not be listed. Lagos Market reserves the right to remove any listing or suspend any account that violates these rules, and listings go through an approval step before they appear publicly.
4. Escrow payments
All payments made through Lagos Market are held in escrow and processed via Paystack. All escrow funds are processed and settled through NextGen Limited's Paystack merchant account. NextGen Limited, as the operator of Lagos Market, is the holder and releaser of all funds in escrow — payments are not held by individual buyers, sellers, or any third party. Funds are released to the seller once the buyer confirms receipt of the item, or automatically after the 48-hour inspection window closes without a dispute being raised. 5. Disputes
If an item does not match its listing, buyers may raise a dispute within the inspection window. Lagos Market will review the dispute and may refund the buyer or release funds to the seller based on the evidence provided. Our decision on disputes is final.
6. Seller payouts
Sellers must add a verified Nigerian bank account before payouts can be released. Payouts are issued directly by NextGen Limited to the seller's verified bank account. Lagos Market is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect or unverified payout details.
7. Prohibited conduct
You may not use Lagos Market to commit fraud, harass other users, post misleading listings, circumvent escrow by arranging payment outside the platform, or otherwise abuse the service. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.
8. Limitation of liability
Lagos Market provides a platform for buyers and sellers to transact and is not a party to the underlying sale. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lagos Market is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of Lagos Market after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
