Chat with or call the seller from any listing, agree the price, meet up and pay the seller yourself. It's free, but the deal is between you and the seller, Lagos Market doesn't hold the money, so we can't refund it if something goes wrong. Follow our safety tips and inspect the item before you pay.

Or buy with Protected Purchase

Tap "Buy with Protection" on a listing and pay securely through Lagos Market. Your payment is held by Lagos Market, not handed to the seller, and the seller only gets paid once you confirm the item arrived as advertised. There's no extra cost to you: you pay the listed price.

48-hour inspection window

With Protected Purchase, the seller marks the item as handed over once you've collected or received it. From that moment you have 48 hours to inspect the item and confirm it matches the listing. If it doesn't, raise a dispute from your Orders page before the window closes, your payment stays held while our team reviews it, and we decide whether to refund you or release the funds to the seller. If the seller never marks handover within 7 days, you are refunded automatically.

How seller payouts work

For Protected Purchase orders, once the buyer confirms the item arrived as advertised, or the 48-hour window after seller handover passes without a dispute, we automatically transfer the seller's payout straight to their verified Nigerian bank account via Paystack. For direct sales, the buyer pays the seller themselves.

Sellers can add or update their payout bank account any time from their Profile. Without a verified bank account, Protected Purchase payouts are held until one is added.
